Dion

Dion was the Macedonian sanctuary of Zeus (Dion->Dios->of Zeus), built in the shadow of Mount Olympus. Most of whats left of Dion was built by the Romans in the 2nd and 3rd centuries A.D.

Leda and the Swan

Nice table!

The hydraulis is a unique Greek instrument that is the precursor to the organ. This is the oldest one ever unearthed; it is thought to be from the 1st century B.C.

A bronze lamp found near the hydraulis

Medusa mosaic

Colorful birds

Dion is a large ruin and a great deal of it has not been unearthed.

The bath complex is large and some mosaics remain.

Hypocaust used to heat the bath

A good looking bull

The unearthed roads go for over a mile in each direction, and probably span much farther underground.
