Sighnaghi

This weekend I visited Kakheti, the wine producing region of Georgia.

Shirtless von Bismark
First I visited Gurjaani to meet up with another Fulbright ETA.

Sighnaghi

We then went to Sighnaghi, a town that looks like it was airlifted out of Italy and accidentally dropped into the Georgian countryside. It is a result of President Saakashvili's massive public works projects to boost tourism in Georgia.

Simba: What is that shadowy place? Mufasa - That is Chechnya. You must never go there.

One of the many stray dogs of Georgia. The dogs in Sighnaghi were suspiciously well groomed, leading me to believe the government rounded them up at night and bathed them.

This dog's name was წარბების (eyebrows).

Dinner with a view.
